Both nations emphasized mutual respect and sensitivity to each other's concerns.

Canada-India Diplomatic Strain: Relations between Canada and India have deteriorated following Canada's accusations of Indian agents engaging in criminal activities on Canadian soil, including interference in democratic processes. Indigenous Jet Engine Development: India continues its pursuit of developing indigenous military jet engines, with plans to collaborate with Western partners such as General Electric, Rolls-Royce, or Safran. This initiative aims to enhance self-reliance in defense technology and integrate these engines into fifth-generation fighter jets by the mid-2030s.
